Taurus New Moon May 2026

The Taurus New Moon is upon us, bringing with her offerings of abundance, wealth, presence in the body and clear direction

She echoes, in her darkness, a clear space, a blank slate, and the depths of the soul and of Earth’s fertile soil, encouraging us to turn inward to our own nature, return to the body, and to plant and germinate the seeds of that which we hope to see blossom, so that we may grow toward that with her as she waxes.

We are each a universe - our soul of stars, our bodies of Earth - and the Taurus New Moon invites us to recognise and harness the unity of the cosmos, Earth and ourselves. She asks us to return to our Truest nature to move forward on our cosmic and earthly journeys, and she wants to help us with a clear sense of direction, aligning us with our destined path and showing us what we must shed and what we must enact and embody in order to answer our callings.

The Taurus New Moon is also a powerful wealth portal, inviting us to release harboured ideas, habits and limitations surrounding abundance and money that no longer serve us, as well as herald in abundant, stable wealth.

The Ritual

Here’s your Taurus New Moon Ritual and everything you’ll need to complete it. Remember, all you ever actually need is yourself! If you cannot acquire all the pieces, don’t worry, your presence is where the magic lies most!

Gather: a glass of water // salt // rosemary // a candle // a journal or paper // flowers

Arrange your altar in a way that is beautiful to you and conveys abundance

Breath work - try a grounding, steady 4x4 box breath and an expansive circle of joy

Movement - move your body in a way that feels expansive and intuitive

Close your eyes. Consider that which you want to release with this New Moon.

Put some salt in the water for cleansing, stir it three times anti-clockwise to move that energy away from you

Light your candle, envisaging all of those things turning to ash.

Close your eyes. Imagine roots tethering your body to the depths of Earth, sharing powerful light that shine up to your head.

Write down your intentions, wishes and callings

Speak your intentions into the flowers, imagining them, too, in vibrant full bloom!

Celebrate the fruition of your intentions!

Offer your flowers and rosemary back to the Earth with gratitude, whispering a thanks to the New Moon too
