Young Creative Spirits

A fun, educational and practical two to three week course exploring poetry and dance culminating in a performance showcasing the children’s work for parents and the community.

On the programme our young creative spirits improve their dance technique, learn and create group choreographies, and partake in creative writing activities that are great for their wellness and enrich their writing, enabling them to eventually create and perform their own profound poems.

On the first half of the course, our young creative spirits learn helpful contemporary dance techniques and exciting dance routines in their dance classes and begin opening up their imaginations, exploring the universe within and around them in new ways, and perfecting their writing skills in their poetry sessions.

On the second half of the course, we cover form & structure to construct our poems and work on their delivery and performance. We also rehearse our dance routines and artistically weave them all together with our written work into a seamless show.

We also offer a lighter version of the young creative spirits programme as a three day workshop, taken within one week, exploring one topic each day, with a showcase for parents on the final day.

The postures and movement in yoga enable children to gain spectacular mobility skills, balance, flexibility, strength and coordination.

The breathwork and meditation in yoga is incredibly regulating for the children’s nervous systems, encouraging mental peace and emotional balance.
