Colour Meditation

This is a very powerful meditation. The results can be quite surprising. Let go of any preconceived ideas and thoughts you may already have on colour. I would definitely recommend writing down everything you receive from the meditation. And if not too disruptive, it is quite a good idea to write down your feelings after meditating on each colour ray, as there is often quite a lot of information to remember, and you may find you cannot recall it all at the end…

Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take a few deep-relaxing breaths. With each breath feeling more and more relaxed. Now, with every in breath, breath in ‘Peace'. With every out breath, let all your negative thoughts breeze away. Repeat this a few times, until you are feeling nice and relaxed and calm.

And now, imagine you are being filled with the wonderful white, loving energy of the universe. Feel it coming in through the top of your head, through your crown chakra. With every breath, filling your entire body from top to toe…. and now feel the energy going down into the ground, imagine roots going down deep into the earth, grounding you, and when you feel you can go no further, bring the energy back up through your legs to your Root chakra at the base of the spine. Say to yourself, I am now grounded, safe and protected.

Now see this energy as a beautiful C rimson red . If you can't see it, feel it, know it, and sense it. If it makes it easier, think of a rosy red apple. The positive attributes of red are strength and growth . Attune yourself to this Red vibration. How does it feel, what does it ‘say' to you? Spend a little while in this energy.

Now imagine this energy moving upwards towards your S acral chakra , (around your tummy button area). And as it moves up, see/ feel it changing to Orange . (If you can't sense it, imagine a lovely juicy orange.) Orange represents purification , (removal of negativity), and healing . Feel yourself immersed in this colour, sense the vibration…what does it feel like, what is it saying to you? Spend a little while in this energy.

Now the energy starts moving towards your Solar plexus chakra , and as it does so, it turns to yellow. Feel the energy, the vibration. If you have difficulty visualising yellow, think of sunshine, or a fresh juicy lemon. Yellow represents the mind and consciousness . Become sensitive to this vibration. How does it feel, what is it saying to you… Spend a little while in this yellow energy.

And now, once again, moving upwards towards the Heart chakra , and turning Green . Green represents life, balance and harmony. Peace and compassion . If you find it hard to visualise, maybe you can think of grass, or leaves on a tree…. Feel the energy – what is it ‘saying to you'? How does it feel? What is its significance to you? Don't force it, just feel it, and know….. Spend a little time in this energy.

The energy moving upwards once again to the throat chakra , and Blue . Blue represents truth and communication . Visualise blue, and feel what it means to you. If you can't visualise blue, think of a clear blue sky on a summer's day. Immerse yourself in this ray of blue. Sense it, and take note, of any feelings that it conjures. Spend a little while in this energy.

Once again, moving upwards, towards your T hird eye chakra (brow), and turning a wonderful intense shade of Indigo . A dark purple/ blue. Think of the night sky. Indigo represents intuition and the mediumistic faculty. Increasing your sensitivity and awareness. (It is not of the conscious mind.) How do you feel in this energy? What is it saying to you? Spend some time in this energy.

And finally moving up towards the Crown chakra , and Violet , representing expansion of the conscious mind , surrendering to your higher self, your spiritual potential and communication with spirit. If you can't visualise violet, think of a bunch of violets. Immerse yourself in this energy. Feel the lightness of this vibration. What is it saying to you? How do you feel? Spend some time in this energy.

And now, work your way back slowly down through your chakras and the different colours - Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, and gradually bring yourself back to consciousness - with every breath being more aware of your surroundings and where you are, feeling rejeuvenated and refreshed, knowing that while learning about the colours and what they mean to you - healing has been taking place....and when ready open your eyes..

Now write it down!
